Selection Criteria:

1. Must be a graduate of Ponchatoula High School.
2. Must have successfully completed a minimum of 30 academic hours.
3. Must be majoring in one of the disciplines of the College of Education.
4. Newly selected recipients must have a minimum overall GPA between 2.2 and 2.9. However, once a student becomes a recipient, s/he may retain the award even if his/her GPA exceeds 2.9. A 2.2 GPA is the minimum requirement in all cases.
5. Must show promise and a strong desire to complete his/her education.
6. Must demonstrate financial need.
7. Must be enrolled full-time.
