Selection Criteria:

1. Student must be a Louisiana resident.
2. Must be a “first-generation college student”, i.e., neither parent nor legal guardian(s) have earned a college degree.
3. Must be awarded the federal Pell grant.
4. Must be admitted to Southeastern Louisiana University.
5. It is the request of the benefactor that students majoring in a discipline in the visual arts be selected as the recipients.
Retention: A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required to be employed on campus and avoid suspension from the University.
