Selection Criteria:

1. Must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution.
2. Must be actively enrolled in the Certification-Only Alternate Certification Program (COA) or the Master’s Alternate Certification Program (MAT).
3. The recipient must have successfully completed six (6) credit hours in Alternate Certification at Southeastern (COA or MAT).
4. Must be enrolled for a minimum of six (6) hours of course work. A recipient may be enrolled for less than six (6) hours if s/he is teaching full-time or if s/he is in his/her last semester and does not require six (6) hours to graduate.
5. Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.5; a GPA of 2.75 is preferred.
